Training schedule
Are you interested in becoming a BELLAS Breastfeeding Peer Counselor?
If you can answer yes to the following questions, you may ask for an application. The next training class will begin in January 2009. Training classes will run from 9:15 am until 1:30 pm and will be held at the Beatties Ford Road Health Department. Orientation dates are coming soon. The training schedule can be found here.

Have you breastfed your own baby for at least three months?

Are you a high school graduate or equivalent?

Do you enjoy talking to other mothers?

Are you able to make a one year commitment to working at least five hours a week?

Can you attend a monthly staff meeting?
- Can you attend an orientation session, eight training classes, do 3 clinical observations of current peer counselors at work, and attend four La Leche League meetings?
Training Schedule
We are currently accepting applications. The Winter 2009 class will be held every Thursday, beginning January 8. The dates are as follows:
- January 8
- January 15
- January 22
- January 29
- February 5
- February 12
- February 19
- February 26
BELLAS announces orientation for potential breastfeeding peer counselors
To be considered for the classes, one of the orientation classes MUST be attended. Please plan to attend one of the following orientations at the BELLAS house:
- October 10
- October 28
- December 11
*Arrive by 9:45.
*We will be finished by noon.
*Your baby is welcome to attend with you.
